• Podcast frusration

Well I am going to try another approach to this:

I am getting frustrated by the lack of pod and vodcasts being taken by recruiters across the UK - now I'm sure its nothing to do with you guys within our group, just a lack of willing to take the first step by recruiters on the whole across the country.

It seems to me that these tools are a great opportunity to showcase a number of areas that a recruiter needs to these days, especially in a hyper competative marketplace. Whether its the workplace enviroment, hard to fill roles or the fact they are focussing on an certain area of society with their equal opportunities strategy. Not to mention what a great way of warming a typically cold process!

The recruitment marketplace is an ever changing environment and is generally at the cutting edge of tehnology - although having said that from my time within an ad agency it still appears to be only about 10% of any client base that embraces anything new. Now some would argue that could be down to an agency been unwilling to put forward something that either they don't understand or is proposed from a non tradtitional media - another frustratoin surel to be covered shortly!!
I believe we have more tools than ever before to help HR professionals and that the market has evolved to such an extent the doors will start to open if we continue to educate our own clients and highlight just what our portfolio is these days - its not just about commercial radio.

OK rant over, but would love your thoughts on how we can drive pod/vodcast awareness across the recruiters in our regions.

  • Introduction

    Hi

As part of developing our use of new technology I have started this to ensure we are doing what we can to help each other across the group - clearly this is for the recruitment advertising team so far, however, depending on the interest and content we may send out further invitations.

So to kick off please give feedback on your site in terms of pitches (general overview) and success stories for us to share.

If you have any further questions please register them so we can discuss answers between us.

    Thank you in advance.

    Rob
